A Good Place to Begin

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin..." - Zechariah 4:10 NLT

In a world of big companies, big ideas, big cities, big dreams, big personalities, and big appetites, we sometimes forget that even big things started small.  You started as a tiny microscopic combination of cells miraculously merged together into a NEW creation.  Before Apple was an enormous company it started as an idea as two young men worked together in a garage to make it a reality.  Before Starbucks had more than 20,000 locations, it started as a single store in Seattle in 1971.  There are more than 2 billion Christians in the world today, but it started with a small group of men and women who faithful followed Jesus.

The prophet Zechariah shares words of encouragement from God about beginning small.  Just as the Lord shared words of encouragement for the small beginning of rebuilding the Temple, I believe God is rejoicing as we launch a NEW ministry in 2016 for young adults (18 to 35) in Avon, Indiana.  We're starting...small.  It's a good place to begin.
